There are many things in life that don’t make sense to me.  One day I think I’m going to have a lot of questions to ask when my life is over.  Like why do children have to deal with sickness, cancer, tumors.  I know the answer.  We live in a broken world and until one day when ALL Things are restored… it’s still broken.  So we take our battlefield and we fight.  We fight to win.  We pray for a miracle.  We pray that God uses every means to conquer the battle we are in.  We pray that He guides the hands of surgeons as it’s another expression of many of God’s desire to heal.  We stand and take courage and keep on fighting even when the battle may take more than one prayer to win.

Our friends son Sterling who is 5 years old is checking into a hospital tomorrow for his second surgery that will happen on Tuesday to remove a brain tumor that continues to grow.  I’ve spent the past year watching the Davis family and Sterling fight. They are brave.  They are strong.  They are noble.  They are courageous.  They are showing so many the struggles and joys of those that truly depend on the Lord for everything that they have and are.  They are heroes in my eyes.  I”m cheering them on.  I’m just one of MANY people interceding on their behalf.  Would you pray with them too?

Pray for:

 – no vision loss

 – no loss of movement/weakness on the left side

 – total removal of the tumor

 – Seizures to cease

 – Vital signs and total health

You can keep up with updates this week at http://sterlingdavis.wordpress.com/ and  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=177730221354  and you can sign up here for a specific time to pray.

Sterling says it best…”Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
